The Online Operations Reporting Specialist position will identify key performances indicators to track students through the different phases of the student lifecycle and provide findings to leadership, including admissions, retention, and graduation rates. This position will also generate both regular and on demand reports, review for accuracy, and provide feedback and support for all areas of Rowan Online. In addition, the Online Operations Reporting Specialist will utilize reporting tools to assess Rowan Online course and program offerings and present results to leadership, as well as use key metrics to evaluate and optimize Rowan Online operations. The Online Operations Reporting Specialist position reports directly to the Associate Vice President of Online Operations.

Primary Responsibilities
Identify and monitor key performance indicators throughout the student lifecycle, focusing on admissions, enrollment, retention, and graduation rates for all Rowan Online students.
Review student, course, and program data to discover meaningful trends and present key findings to Rowan Online leadership, making data-driven recommendations for Rowan Online student initiatives.
Create and track surveys throughout the student journey, including course evaluations, alumni surveys, and employment outcomes.
Identify key metrics to analyze to provide feedback and support to all areas of Rowan Online, including Advising, Marking, Admissions, Online Course Operations, and Corporate Learning.
Collaborate with the Office of Institutional Research & Analytics (OIRA) to have dashboards created for the Rowan Online population according to university data standards and processes and ensure data standards are implemented by the various areas within the division to maintain accurate data.
Participate in regular code reviews and quality checks with OIRA.
Create and maintain documentation for all new and revised reports and dashboards.
Assist with creation and maintenance of data definitions, relationships, and catalog data assets specific to Rowan Online students using the University’s data cataloging tool, Informatica.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and define key business questions and goals related to Rowan Online student recruitment, admissions, retention, graduation, finance, bursar, financial aid, and alumni relations.
Provide regular reports to Rowan Online Advising to assist with retention and outreach measures.
Perform updates to Rowan Online student records as errant data/coding irregularities are identified by regularly reviewing dashboards, investigate their causes, and inform responsible parties of data standards to ensure accuracy in the future.
Generate on-demand reports for all areas of the division, as needed.
Develop predictive models to forecast online student enrollment trends, course needs, and other relevant areas.
Evaluate Rowan Online operations, reviewing processes for efficiency and ensuring policies best serve the Rowan Online population.
Other duties as assigned by senior leadership that serve the immediate need of the division.
Qualifications:
Required
Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field.
Experience involving data management which includes independent collection and interpretation of data, preferably in relation to University policies and procedures.
Ability to prepare clear and accurate reports containing findings, conclusions, and recommendations.
Ability to evaluate current processes, develop methods for improvement, and meet established objectives.
Strong analytical and data management skills.
Ability to effectively manage multiple competing priorities.
Ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with other staff and organizations.
Preferred
Experience with Tableau, Cognos, and all Microsoft Office Applications, including Excel, Word, and Outlook, plus Google workspace and Webex.
Proficient in both Self-Service Banner and Banner Administrative Pages.
Proven ability to analyze complex and ill-defined problems/opportunities and a track record of developing and delivering solutions.
