Job Summary
The Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for maintaining efficient operations while supervising Warehouse Associates in the distribution center.
Essential Functions
Supervising operations which include receiving, warehousing, and distribution operations by training, coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results.
Supervises warehouse operational requirements by scheduling and assigning employees; following up on work results and holding employees accountable to job requirements.
Ensures the following of safeguards for warehouse operations and contents by establishing and monitoring security procedures and protocols.
Communicates equipment and facility issues to the Facilities department.
Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
Maintains employee work hours to ensure efficient operations while limiting any unnecessary overtime.
Oversees inventory physical counts; works with Inventory Control Specialist on discrepancies.

Education
High School or GED in General Studies -Required
Bachelors Degree (BA/BS) inManagement, Logistics -Preferred
Work Experience
5 years or moresupervision within a warehouse environment or Degree with 3 years of management experience; Logistics, warehouse, distribution center -Preferred
Skills and Abilities
Strong communication skills -Advanced
Strong interpersonal skills -Advanced
Ability to delegate, supervise and evaluate the workings of subordinates. -Advanced
Good decision-making abilities and leadership and motivational skills. -Advanced
Specialized Knowledge
JD Edwards knowledge preferred
