Quantity Surveyor/Building Surveyor - Major & Complex Loss

We require a QS/Building Surveyor to complement our Major and Complex Loss team in our Glasgow office. Candidates with building professional qualifications would fit well into our large and diverse team of adjusters and support colleagues. The role will include providing technical and complex support to lead adjusters on a broad range of major and complex losses. At Sedgwick, our clients and customers are supported by a collaborative team approach, ensuring that all elements of the loss benefit from our technical expertise.

You will also provide technical buildings/construction assistance and advice to our general adjusters. You’ll have the opportunity to be part of a cohesive team of professionals whilst working in the office, and fully equipped to work remotely, supported by our innovative IT software that complements our claims management system. Full administrative support is provided. The position involves frequent travel to customers and clients across Scotland.

You must have demonstrable experience in managing complex commercial buildings reinstatement projects whilst claims experience and market profile would be advantageous.

You will have/will be:

  • MRICS qualified – or progressing to completion of qualification

  • Good interpersonal skills and an enthusiasm for coaching/developing colleagues

  • Self-motivation and the ability to motivate others

  • An organized and disciplined approach to work

  • Full UK Driving License
