As a result of this growing workflow, Stantec are actively seeking a Electrical and ICA (EICA) Engineer to join our Water Business in our Edinburgh or Glasgow offices. You will grow our reputation within the local community and Water Business, by providing EICA design services for a range of projects.

The team currently provide technical design services and expertise as part of integrated project teams.

The successful candidate will be involved in the whole project life cycle from optioneering through to detailed design and installation. You will also be involved with feasibility studies, site surveys and investigations. In line with our Communities of Practice approach, there are opportunities to work on a wide variety of projects including in water, wastewater, energy, infrastructure and environmental sectors.

As an experienced EICA Engineer, you will hold responsibility for working and liaising with project managers, technical leaders, design engineers, clients, supply chain partners, contractors, planners and other stakeholders to achieve positive outcomes for the projects and community. You will understand how water and waste water treatment processes operate and be experienced in assessing existing electrical and ICA infrastructure to develop and deliver the EICA design. We would also be interested in speaking with candidates who have experience within the energy, infrastructure & environmental sectors in an electrical engineering capacity.

About You

The successful candidate will be an EICA Engineer who is Chartered or Incorporated with the IET with experience and background in EICA design, ideally within the water industry.

You will be experienced in producing technical specifications, control philosophies, schedules, reports and familiar with collaborative reviews and designs of solutions.

You will be able to produce Single Line Diagrams, Block Cable Diagrams, Network Architecture Diagrams as well as providing engineering input to collaborative design outputs, such as General Arrangement Drawings, 3D models and Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams.

To be successful in this role, you will have strong communication skills to give technical presentations to clients and other design engineers as well as inputting into collaborative design discussions including technical workshops, HAZOPs and ALMs.
