The Cigna Group Business Analyst / Project Manager (Hybrid) in Glasgow, United Kingdom
The Position:
The Business Analyst / PM role will be responsible for refining requirements, which clearly state the project needs and aligning those needs with business processes. These requirements will be used by the Technology teams to build or modify the application in scope. During the development of the system requirements, the Business Analyst will handle the management of issues and questions by the business and support them in the implementation of the change.
In addition of the BA role there may be some responsibility to manage small-medium sized projects/ workstreams that cross multiple Business and IT areas using Agile or Waterfall methodologies, depending on needs of the business.
The role will involve building successful relationships across Business and IT, across all levels to advocate, communicate, prioritise, define and deliver the change.
The successful candidate will be a high-performing individual who is methodical, inquisitive and has a passion for delivering large business transformational change across global organizations.
The successful candidate in this position will have global work experience and a desire to work in a culturally diverse organisation.
Main Duties/Responsibilities:
Plan and lead the requirement analysis, working closely with the relevant stakeholders.
Analyse business and user needs, document requirements and business process flows as related to the project
Supports the analysis of obtained data to identify solutions, trends, opportunities and issues
Build an extensive knowledge of the business operation in order to analyse current work procedures and practices.
Will closely collaborate with our Product Managers ad Product on business requirements.
May lead business partners in developing user acceptance test cases.
Work together with the Product owners to Investigate, evaluate and report alternative solutions to business needs and recommend the preferred solutions
Ability to lead on small-medium sized projects end to end
Experience/Qualifications Required:
Bachelors degree in business, finance, information management or a related discipline
At least 5 years of business analysis work preferably in insurance or financial services sector.
Candidate must have proven project management support experience & leadership skills.
Experienced in the analysis and interpretation of business requirements across all aspects of transacting insurance or financial services business.
Disciplined in the management of RAID, change and defect tracking and reporting
Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group, executives, managers, and subject matter experts.
Demonstrate a proven understanding of business process re-engineering.
Must be a self-starter who is able to plan and lead work sessions with little oversight.
Business Analysis techniques such as process modelling, root cause analysis, data modelling, process mapping and traceability are very desirable.
Leadership capability where the candidate has experience of communicating and engaging staff, peers and stakeholders in the delivery of change/small projects
Should be able to communicate effectively (Oral and Written) across a broad spectrum of cultural differences, where required
Be able to drive/display ownership/proactive behaviour
Candidate must have proven program/project management & leadership skills.
Experience with Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Project.
