Eagle Specialty Materials, LLC Technical Support Specialist in Gillette, Wyoming

The Technical Support Specialist is responsible for providing computer hardware and software support as well as providing general computer and troubleshooting help for information systems (IS) issues.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Able to meet physical demands according to the PDA
  • Assist with installation, configuration and maintenance of PCs and peripheral devices
  • Assist with projects and provide guidance to other data services representatives
  • Assist with the maintenance, configuration and reliable operation of computer systems and servers.
  • Responsible for supporting Ubuntu servers
  • Responsible for maintaining AutoCAD
  • Provide support for networking and the networking equipment, and assist in installation of new networking equipment
  • Perform operating system (OS) installations
  • Perform software application installations
  • Provide end user support for a wide variety of IS issues
  • Respond to outages, after hours PC and peripheral device issues of an extreme nature as required
  • Complete required documentation
  • Schedule system support tasks to maximize efficiency of time and minimize system outages and interruptions of service to end users
  • Display flexibility while adapting to fast paced change in technology
  • Comply with all safety regulations, and identify and correct safety issues
  • Regular and predictable attendance and have a strong work ethic
  • Maintain confidentiality
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Comply with company drug and alcohol policy
