Electromagnetic Environmental Effect (E3) Engineer

This opportunity can sit out of Gilbert, AZ or 100% REMOTE with less than 10% travel required. This position is maxing at a 250K Salary.

Job Description

This is working from origin to orbit. They want a temp to hire. They recently had 2 consultant engineers retire. Had surge supports on these programs that require E3 support.

This is supporting the HALO program (Habitation and Logistics outpost). This program is in collaboration with NASA and is the first pressurized module for NASA’s Gateway, an outpost that will orbit the moon and serve as a temporary home and workplace for astronauts.

Responsibilities

• Multi-disciplinary collaboration

• Writing, interpreting, allocating, tailoring, and flowing down Electromagnetic Environment Effect requirements to all design levels.

• Present designs internally and externally

• Write design guidelines, develop models, perform analysis on components, subsystems and systems using EMI Principles.

• Designing ground systems, chassis and harness shielding, EMI Filters and selecting and layout out interface circuitry for achieving EMC.

• Prepare and review E3 test procedures, test reports, technical analysis, control plans, and participate in cross discipline design reviews for EMC.

• Bonding analysis, shielding analysis

Essential Skills

• Electromagnetic environmental effects (E3) experience

• Experience in the full lifecycle of products pertaining to E3 technologies.

• MIL Standard 461 and 464

• HFSS, Ansys etc.

• Ability to look at a complex E3 issue, circuit analysis and how they are destroyed (LTSpice), EMA harness.
