Measure from drawings and read specifications and teach/direct others in the production of Bills of Quantities.
Analyze existing cost data and producing benchmark information.
Reconcile actual costs against original estimates.
Undertake deep dive analysis of live data to identify outliers, trends, and calculate key performance measures.
Analyze projectperformance metrics and tracking action plans.
Identify Claims against the Stakeholder, review, assess and make recommendation to the Stakeholder on the correct course of action.
Review and negotiation of Contractual Agreements with Vendors and Construction Companies and advise Stakeholder of all risks.
Prepare weekly reporting to the client.
Conduct background research, data collection and benchmarking against historical system data
Drive and direct value engineering exercises.
Integrate with Commission Leaders in managing program level data.
Review documentation for QA/QC.
Present and interpret project communication materials including charts and presentation decks.
Support the production of program level reports for Senior Management.
Liaise with the client and project delivery managers to provide guidance on best practices and program initiatives
Respond to ad hoc requests from the Client
Track cost review and estimate requests as they are submitted by the client.
Perform all of the foregoing using Microsoft Office and Google Suite of applications, and excellent with spreadsheets, charts, and presentations.
Requires a Bachelors degree in Quantity Surveying or Related Field and 5 years of experience in the job offered or 5 years of experience as a Sr. Consultant or any other job title performing the following job duties:
- Preparing standard documentation including reports, valuations, letters, financial reports
- Preparing tender documents as required by procurement choice
- Analyze tenders and preparing tender reports at all stages of procurement
- Preparing valuations and Cost Reports; re-measure as necessary and adjust variations
- In the presales phase - establishing the project plan baseline, defining project scope, securing the necessary resources & building the estimates in collaboration with the Financial Planning Manager
- Assessing cost effectiveness of products, projects or services, tracking actual costs relative to bids as the project develops.
- Ensuring knowledge sharing and a consistent approach to pre-sales facilitating an efficient sales approach and a profitable project delivery
- Consulting with clients, vendors, personnel in other departments to discuss and formulate estimates and resolve issues.
- Conferring with management, contractors and subcontractors on changes and adjustments to cost estimates.
- Preparing estimates used by management for purposes such as planning, organizing, and scheduling work.
- Preparing estimates for use in selecting vendors or subcontractors.
- Reviewing material and labor requirements, to decide whether it is more cost-effective to produce or purchase components.
- Preparing cost and expenditure statements and other necessary documentation at regular intervals for the duration of the project.
- Preparing and maintaining a directory of suppliers, contractors and subcontractors
- Assembling, analyzing and report on the financial status of construction projects in EMEA region in coordination with Construction Management team for monthly meetings and others as requested.
- Managing cost databases by inputting and tracking budgets, commitments, and invoices in an electronic cost database (E-Builder and Oracle).
- Preparing & reporting of cash flow forecasting for all Capex cost categories. Analyzing and reviewing yearly, quarterly and monthly forecast vs the actual costs incurred.
- Working with general contractors, consultants and vendors on a monthly basis to review and report on spend projections, actual payments, projected final accounts and interim reporting.
- Working with cross functional partners on cost database metrics, project budgeting, market analysis and presentation of data collected from projects.
- Reconciling accounts to ensure the accuracy of financial information being reported (i.e. between E-Builder and Oracle).
- Working with accounting and payment processing teams to track the status of vendor payments.
- Raising help tasks to increase purchase order budgets as needed.
- Tracking status of purchase orders and monitor balance amounts, identifying increases that may be required and close out when needed.
- Training others in the use of our electronic cost databases (E-Builder and Oracle).
