Howmet Aerospace Quality Technician in Georgetown, Ontario

Role and Responsibilities:

· Job Responsibilities and duties may include, but are not limited to, the following:

· Internal and External audit program leader

· Corrective/preventive action leader, advocate, and team player

· Dimensional Inspection, FAI Reports, Certificates of Conformance

· Document non-conformances, solicit and monitor corrective actions and arrange for release of castings to the customer.

· Must be able to work with external and internal customers

· Organizing, analyzing, and documenting testing and results

· Ensure compliance to drawings, customer specifications and standards

· Review and approve the web-based techniques as necessary.

· Special projects as required.

· Adheres to all health and safety rules and regulations.

· Other duties assigned on an as needed basis.

Required Qualifications

· Ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment

· Excellent communication skills

· Experience with the use of measuring devices common to the manufacturing industry such as calipers and micrometers

· Experience with geometric dimension and tolerance (GD&T) principles

Preferred Qualifications:

· College/University graduate or min. 5 years’ experience in a Quality function.

· Advanced Microsoft Office skills, including Excel and Word

· Knowledge of statistical techniques, SPC, FMEA, APQP

  • 2-5 years experience as a quality technician in a manufacturing environment
