ManpowerGroup Materials Supervisor in Georgetown, Kentucky
The Materials Supervisor will supervise and coordinate the day-to-day activities of a team of workers to ensure that goods are moved, handled, and stored safely, correctly, and in accordance with established schedules and inventory lists.
The Materials Supervisor will coordinate material control systems, inbound/outbound shipments, and materials handling activities and inventory control primarily from the shop floor.
Coordinate all material handler activities.
Coordinate activities for warehouse layout.
Training, coaching, developing the material handling team.
Implement and assist in development of cycle counting and pull system for each commodity.
Manage/coordinate the receiving and DMR processes.
Manage the input of incoming receipts on a regular timely basis.
Manage the process of outbound shipments.
Coordinate all customs compliance requirements.
Observes Materials/Production operation within their area of control to ascertain
Compliance with methods, quality standards, safety regulations, 5's and Production/Materials Standards.
Assist in maintaining and revising visual inventory benchmarks standards.
Daily coordination of Production builds schedules.
Liaison between Materials and Productions
Coordinate any outside warehouse activities.
Run RPS history reports and cumulative reports verifying receipts have been collected in RPS file.
Manage the process of supplier cum reconciliation.
Monitor system for accurately tracking Truckload Utilization. (TUMS)
Initiate action to prevent the occurrence of any non-conformities relating to product, process, and quality system.
Manage and maintain onsite replenishment of Trailers (Shelve)
Identify and record any problems relating to the product, process, and quality system.
Initiate, recommend, and provide solutions through designated channels.
Control further processing, delivery, or installation of non-conforming product until the deficiency or unsatisfactory condition has been corrected.
Actively participates in Health/Safety/Environmental investigations and the 8D process in order to develop root cause analysis for problem resolution as required.
Reporting accidents, occupational illnesses, and HSE&E emergencies, and inform supervisor of known HSE&E conditions which could adversely affect other team members, assets or to the public.
Qualifications Required/Preferred:
3-5 Years in Materials inside Manufacturing with at least 1 year in Supervisory role
Experience with Automotive JIT is a plus
Knowledgeable in Microsoft Applications
Formal Problem Solving, Strong Communication, Detailed Oriented, Pro-Active
