Are client is a Fortune 500 provider of leading edge transportation and logistics and they are currently hiring Logistics Dispatchers to join their team in Georgetown. As a Logistics Dispatcher, you will play a crucial role in coordinating and optimizing the movement of vehicles, ensuring timely deliveries, and maintaining efficient operations. We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual with excellent communication skills and a ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. If you have at least 1 year or dispatching experience and are able to work 4:00pm - Midnight Monday - Friday then this is the role for you.

salary: $17 - $18 per hour

shift: Second

work hours: 4 PM - 12 AM

education: High School

Responsibilities

As a Logistics Dispatcher, job duties include:

• Dispatch and route trucks to pick up locations according to customer orders, ensuring on-time delivery and optimal utilization of resources.

• Coordinate with drivers for vehicle pick up and deliveries.

• Monitor the progress of shipments and respond promptly to any issues or delays, proactively communicating with stakeholders to provide updates and solutions.

• Utilize cost effective vendors to meet company budget guidelines.

• Collaborate with internal teams, including customer service, sales, and operations, to address customer inquiries, resolve issues, and ensure a high level of service.

Skills:

• Prior experience in logistics, transportation, or dispatching is preferred.

• Advanced computer skills, including proficiency with transportation management systems (TMS) and Microsoft Office Suite.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with drivers, customers, and internal teams.

• Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously in a dynamic environment.

• Shift schedule is Monday -Friday 4:00 pm - Midnight.
