  • POSITION SUMMARY:

  • Responsible for maintaining, updating, and assuring compliance for Charge Master data. Acts as team leader for special projects. Recommends and coordinates the use of consultants for specialized activities. Conducts and/or oversees data entry of Charge Master revisions.

  • Minimum:

  • Bachelor Degree (Clinical or Financial)

  • LICENSE:

  • PROFESSIONAL CERTIFICATIONS:

  • WORK EXPERIENCE:

  • Minimum :

  • Three years experience with charge master principles and the relationship to coding, billing, compliance in a hospital setting.

  • Knowledge of CPT/HCPCS coding, CMS regulations, HCPCS, ICD-9 and UB Revenue Codes with the ability to effectively interpret, communicate and educate others.

  • Excellent communication, analytical and computer skills.

  • Preferred:

  • Medical record coding or patient accounting experience.

  • Ability to communicate effectively.

  • Must work well in a team-oriented environment as well as independently.

  • Demonstrated leadership abilities.

  • Demonstrated ability to handle confidential information with discretion and ability to deal with the public in a professional and courteous manner.

  • Ability to meet deadlines, manage multiple priorities and enhance the spirit of teamwork through effective role modeling.

  • Knowledge of all key data elements and data flow of all elements within the Patient Accounting Charge Master(s) and other related files.

  • Knowledge of claims processing and remittance data based on payor specifics and regulations.

  • Ability to read and interpret regulatory information related to charging and billing of CDM data.

  • Effective writing skills for policies, procedures, external and internal communications.

  • Data entry skills CDM entries and/or file corrections.

    Salary $32.69-$37.02
