This role will work at Hach office in Vésenaz (GE). This position is eligible for a hybrid work arrangement in which you can work at the Company location identified above and remotely from your home.

The opportunity:

Come join our team at Hach and be part of designing and analyzing electrical hardware circuits with a system engineering vision! You will be a part of a team of 5 in creating design reviews in our Electronics Global Community (US/Germany/China).

In this role, you will:

  • Design and analyze electrical hardware circuits to reliably achieve functional requirements and quantitative specifications.

  • Design electrical tests to verify performance of electrical hardware circuits and demonstrate insensitivity of the design to parameters including component and manufacturing variation, temperature, humidity, aging, corrosion, ESD, EMS, and vibration and shock.

  • At system level, participate and take leadership role in:

  • Studying, writing & managing system requirements

  • Translating them into « Technical specifications »

  • Overseeing product development from concept to deployment from a system engineering perspective

  • Define the functional architecture and performance of the system

  • Defining & performing tests for system verification & validation

  • Focus on water quality industry which continues to grow in importance worldwide

  • Travel to customer sites/other Hach locations 10%.

Are you qualified?

  • Master in Electrical Engineering with 5-10 years of industrial or consumer product development experience

  • Familiarity with the V-model of systems engineering and its implementation

  • Knowledge of ISO quality systems (specifically Design Controls/Product Realization) and related requirements.

  • Circuit design, modeling, performance analysis (SPICE) and tradeoff analysis

  • Design and implementation of circuit testing in all phases of product development lifecycle.

  • Demonstrated skills and success in any or all these areas:

  • Embedded systems development

  • Sensor technology

  • Low level analog signal processing, analog-to-digital conversion

  • Low level analog measurements in the presence of noise

  • PCB layout for AC signal integrity, DC signal integrity and EMC

  • Electromechanical design and system integration testing

  • Circuit design for EMC compliance

  • Fluency in French required.

  • In the context of international projects, a good English level will be necessary.
