GE Vernova Test Engineer (Shift Work) in Gebze, Turkey

Job Description Summary

Test engineer is responsible from performing preliminary and factory and acceptance tests (FAT) on transformers and reactors in accordance with international standards and customer specifications in line TS EN ISO/IEC 17025 and from reporting test results to internal and external customers.

Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Verify conformance to specification by measuring and testing during in-house manufacturing

  • Perform incoming goods control, product inspections, witness points to control quality for items from external suppliers

  • Develops new solutions under guidance and/or in a team setting or based upon precedents in the organizations

  • Working together with senior business leadership team. Specifies needs, communicates about project approach and presents outcomes of research done

  • Delivers products as part of a team

  • Works on cross functional teams

  • Alternatively: Leads analytical and design activities using proven technologies and vested approaches and methods

  • Suitable for working in 2 shifts (08:00-16:00 / 16:00-00:00) and adaptable to flexible working hours based on test programs

  • Living core values of safety & integrity

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical Engineer or Electric Electronical Engineering

  • Minimum 2-year experience in one of the following fields: quality, manufacturing, maintenance, engineering divisions or having an experience at site operations supervisory

  • No obstacle to work from Gebze Plant

  • Having an experience at site operations supervisory

  • Proficiency in English is a must

  • Demonstrated technical aptitude & discussions and a passion for quality

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Excellent people management skills and interpersonal soft skills

  • Effective time management skills and technical communication skills

Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience in high/medium voltage, power system etc.

  • Effective problem-solving skills

  • High voltage testing experience

  • IEC/IEEE testing standard knowledge in power transformers/reactors

  • IEC17025 standard knowledge
