What does the job involve?

Responsible for Safe Work practices, planning, execution and monitoring of lifecycle operations and preventative as well as unplanned maintenance of the facilities, equipment, tools, and systems used to acquire energy resources. Includes identification and evaluation of operational risks and setting operational performance targets and measures. May include oversight/scheduling of a preventative maintenance program and maintenance related functional activities as job planning, scheduling, shift control, performance monitoring and liaisons with operations groups to ensure equipment/plant scheduled downtimes are coordinated effectively.

You are utilizing your knowledge to solve highly complex tasks with a medium-term tactical impact/risk. You set targets and execute strategies for your own department, aligned with Equinor's short and long-term goals. You take ownership of activities that support the overall success of your department or business unit, effectively managing assets and financial/human resources. You may lead small to mid-sized projects. ​You provide actionable insights to senior stakeholders regarding execution in your area. You manage conflicting agendas, occasionally lead negotiations with senior stakeholders and facilitate decision-making processes. You oversee the execution of established improvement agendas across multiple areas. You lead or enable other senior colleagues to deliver critical and complex change initiatives across different areas. What will my tasks be?

Within this position, your key tasks will be to:

  • Act in accordance with our ‘shape, empower and deliver’ leadership expectations, providing clear direction and resource planning.

  • Build, lead and develop the CCR team, managing performance, competency development, and compliance with working environment regulations.

  • Establish and maintain a strong safety culture, ensuring compliance with HSE policies and industry regulations.

  • Oversee 24/7 operational control, monitoring asset performance via SCADA and remote monitoring systems.

  • Develop and implement preventative and corrective maintenance strategies to optimize asset reliability.

  • Identify, assess, and mitigate operational risks, conducting regular risk assessments and implementing control measures.

  • Coordinate with operations teams to schedule and optimize equipment/plant downtimes for maintenance activities.

  • Analyze operational performance metrics, identifying areas for improvement and implementing efficiency measures.

  • Ensure emergency preparedness and incident response, leading investigations and driving continuous improvement.

  • Collaborate with internal teams, contractors, and regulatory bodies to ensure seamless operations and compliance.

  • Master's degree in electrical engineering, Operations Management, Renewable Energy, or a related field.

  • 5+ years’ experience in an operations and maintenance role within renewables, offshore or onshore wind industry and/or transmission grids are essential. Oil & gas, power generation, or a similar industry may be considered.

  • Proven experience in a cooperation with the TSO and DSO dispatch centers.

  • Strong leadership and team management skills, with experience in a 24/7 operational environment.

  • In-depth knowledge of HSE regulations, risk assessment methodologies, and emergency response procedures.

  • Familiarity with SCADA systems, remote monitoring, and asset management in an operational setting.

  • Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with internal teams, contractors, and regulatory bodies.

  • Experience in monitoring operational KPIs, analysing performance data, and implementing efficiency improvements.

  • Certifications in HSE, asset management, or leadership training (desirable).

  • Fluency in written and verbal Polish and English language is essential.
