Intel Cloud Security Architect in Gdansk, Poland

We are seeking a seasoned Cloud Security Architect to elevate the security standards of our cloud products and services. You will be instrumental in shaping the security landscape cross Intel. The initial priority of this role is to be the lead in defining a framework to perform security assessments for Intel's cloud services. This effort will include collaborating with peer teams within our Business Unit and our Partner organizations to create a sustainable operation.

In this role responsibilities include, although not limited to:

  • partnering with product teams to design secure cloud services,

  • helping our organization to create Security Development Lifecycle (SDL) guidance on how services should be governed and creating reusable building blocks for Intel.

Qualifications

You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position.

Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.

Minimum Qualifications:

The candidate must have a bachelor's/master's degree in computer engineering, computer science, or cybersecurity and 7+ years of experience -OR- a PhD in computer engineering, computer science, or cybersecurity and 4+ years of experience in:

  • Cybersecurity for data centers, clouds, and cloud-based services.

  • Cloud-native software development.

  • Cloud operations in AWS or Azure.

  • Secure software development lifecycle (SSDLC, SDL, SSDF).

  • Threat modeling.

  • Software-defined networking (SDN).

  • Infrastructure-as-code (IaC).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Formal general security certification. (For example, CompTIA Security+, CSA CCSK, (ISC)2 CC/SSCP, GIAC GSEC, Offensive Security OSCP, EC-Council CEH.)

  • Formal security certification on cloud service provider platforms. (For example, AWS)

  • Certified Cloud Security Engineer/Architect.

  • Intel Security Belt certification.

  • Knowledge of applied cryptography.

  • Knowledge of cloud computing architectures, cloud governance and risk management, business continuity, infrastructure security, virtualization and containers, incident response, application security, data security and encryption, and identity and access management.

In addition to the qualifications listed below, the ideal candidate will also have:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Good interpersonal skills working with team members, customers, and other Intel organizations.

  • A strong team player with initiative, self-motivation, and flexibility in dealing with ambiguous situations.

  • Excellent analysis and problem-solving skill.

  • Ability for planning the work of others to achieve mid-term to long-term goals and monitors outcomes.

  • Must be flexible to work with remote teams and handling multiple tasks in a dynamic environment.

  • Communication and presentation skills to convey operation status to vice presidents and directors.

  • Communication and presentation skills to convey technical information to principal engineers and senior architects.

Working Model

This role is available as a fully home-based and generally would require you to attend Intel sites only occasionally based on business need. This role may also be available as our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site. In certain circumstances the work model may change to accommodate business needs.
