County of Gaston Digital Communications Coordinator in Gastonia, North Carolina

Examples of Duties

The duties listed below are not all of the duties that may be assigned but are those that are considered as essential for an employee to perform.

  • Create and coordinate museum digital communications content and activities across a variety of channels-website, social media, email marketing, etc.
  • Collaborate with museum departments on growing traffic, generating leads, increasing brand awareness, and maximizing digital engagement.
  • Create and execute digital communications ads and campaigns and monitor their progress.
  • Ensure that all digital communications align with museum brand guidelines and that they are catered towards target audiences.
  • Document museum programs and events through photography and videography and create live digital content, as needed.
  • Evaluate digital data to ensure success of campaigns across digital channels.
  • Coordinate monthly marketing meetings to present digital communications plans and strategies.

Knowledge, Abilities and Skills

Excellent understanding of all major social media networks, mainly Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn. Experience working with Canva, Mailchimp, and/or Joomla, preferred. Excellent written and verbal communication skills a must.

Minimum Qualifications

Graduation from an accredited college or university with an associate degree, or current students who have completed at least 2 years of education at a college or university will be considered. At least 6 months working in digital communications, design, marketing, or social media creation required

Additional Information

Minimally qualified applicants will start at 25% of the salary range: $15.62/hr.
