Hard Rock International SUPERVISOR - VIBE in Gary, Indiana

POSITION SUMMARY:

Vibe Supervisor supports marketing, music and culture initiatives and supervises creative projects from concept to completion, while maintaining integrity of brand voice and translating marketing objectives into creative strategies to drive revenue and build brand awareness. This person builds business/market share by utilizing brand music programs to leverage as Hard Rock's differentiator in the hospitality space.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Creates an atmosphere that induces guests to make Hard Rock Casino Northern Indiana their choice for gaming entertainment; responsible for actively building and retaining guest relations and acts as a mentor to team members to provide superior guest service.

  • Coordinates on-going research of the industry and comp set to detect market trends and related information for development of new marketing strategies.

  • Writes marketing copy in brand voice for print, outdoor, collateral, direct mail, and website.

  • Organizes and manages local events to showcase the property and brand while demonstrating music industry connection.

  • Serves as brand ambassador to establish and nurture relationships with celebrities, talents (bands, DJ’s, etc.) and the local community. Translate strategy into specific business actions and individual accountabilities that achieve results.

  • Collaborates with internal and external business partners to initiate agreements with entertainment artists for local support and performances.

  • At the direction of the Director HRL, oversees the brand programs and events, execution & reporting.

  • Capture submissions for global use/addition to Hard Rock TV.

  • Conduct Memorabilia tours and develop associated collateral.

  • Communicate with relevant leadership team regarding issues, risk and liability concerns, or other important business matters.

  • Monitor competitive set activities to properly adjust execution based on environment.

  • Oversee social media programs, promotions, and communications to ensure consistency with brand voice on social outlets including Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter.

  • Monitor Quality Assurance Program results, create and execute action plans where needed.

  • Handle all responses (negative and positive) on community review portals including TripAdvisor, Yelp, etc.

  • Manage and strategize on all digital marketing initiatives—PPC, blasts, etc.

  • Serve as subject matter expert for the property on Vibe related initiatives.

  • Implement brand amenity programs and ensure effective utilization of music across the property.

  • Promote the organization in and out of industry and at relevant trade associations.

  • Monitor, adjust and create music playlists, adapted to location, time of day and Vibe.

  • Evaluate and adjust overall guest experiences based on interaction with guests, industry trends, corporate initiatives, etc.

  • Enhance group business experience through customization.

  • Performs other duties as assigned and adheres to all Indiana Gaming Regulations.

NON-ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Attend seminars when needed.

EDUCATION AND /OR EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

(Related education and experience may be interchangeable on a year for year basis)

This knowledge and these abilities are typically acquired through a Bachelor’s degree in marketing preferred as well as 3 years in the entertainment industry; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Gaming or hospitality experience highly preferred.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS: (Licenses, Certifications, Testing, etc.):

  • Must obtain and maintain all licenses / certifications per Federal, State, and Indiana Gaming Commission.

  • Must successfully pass background check.

  • Must successfully pass drug screening.

  • Prior experience opening new properties/outlets preferred.

  • Must be twenty-one (21) years of age.

  • Must be able to work holidays and weekends, as well as flexible shifts.

KNOWLEDGE OF:

  • Must possess strong communication and listening skills, excellent speaking, reading, and writing.

  • Minimum of 3 (three) years of work experience in hospitality industry with proven track record of success.

  • Ability to read and understand all Hard Rock Northern Indiana policies and procedures.

  • Previous work experience in the music and/or entertainment industry required.

  • Pertinent federal, state, and local laws, codes, and regulations.

ABILITY TO:

  • Must possess strong communication and listening skills, excellent speaking, reading, and writing.

  • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.

  • Ability to effectively deal with internal and external customers and staff, some of whom will require high levels of patience, tact, and diplomacy.

  • Multiple language abilities preferred, fluency in English required.

  • Proficient with MS Office – Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint.
