Job Title: Controls EngineerJob Description

As a Controls Engineer, your primary responsibility will be maintaining and updating the plant Controls & Automation Systems, with a focus on PLC and HMI firmware. Your tasks will include maintaining Rockwell Software infrastructure and AVEVA System Platform, developing and maintaining configuration for system monitoring tools, and specifying OS, hardware, software, and network configurations on all servers. You will also develop and maintain documentation for Control System Standards, manage user access within the Control System environments, and provide Controls & Automation Systems Technical Support. Your role will involve maintaining design & specification documentation of Plant Control System Architecture, and providing technical consultation on Control System Obsolescence projects.

Hard Skills

• 60% PLC programming - Allen Bradley

• 20% - 30% HMI Development - Wonderware (Aveeva)

• 10% - 20% Electrical Designs, Plant support, etc.

• 6+ year's of experience

• Liquid Processing Experience

Soft Skills

• Ability to work in a small team

• Ability to align with Corporate Controls Engineering Manager, Team Leaders, and Senior Engineers on Standards and Processes

• Ability to mentor and gain understanding of the design and standards of Controls Systems

Job Type

This is a permanent position.

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in Garland, Texas.

Work Environment

You will be part of a smaller team and will work closely with the Corporate Controls Engineering Manager, Team Leaders, and Senior Engineers. Mentoring will be provided for gaining an understanding of the design and standards of our Control Systems.
