Job Description Summary: The Alzheimer's Care Center is dedicated to providing compassionate and comprehensive care to individuals with Alzheimer's disease and other forms of dementia. Our mission is to enhance the quality of life for our residents through personalized care and supportive services. We are currently seeking a dedicated and empathetic Residential Care Aide (PSS or CNA) to join our team.

Job Description:

The Role: Residential Care Aide (PSS or CNA)

The Residential Care Aide (CNA or PSS) will play a crucial role in the Alzheimer's Care Center, by providing essential care and support to residents with Alzheimer's disease and other forms of dementia. Their responsibilities are centered around ensuring the well-being, safety, and comfort of the residents.

The Opportunity:

The Alzheimer’s Care Center is an assisted living home for people living with a form of memory impairment. It is located in Gardiner in a private, wooded area on a tree-lined avenue. Attached to the home, is a beautiful Adult Day Services Program wing, affectionately called "The Club." Sound nice? We think so!

The Work:

  • Performs basic patient care activities as delegated and supervised by an RN

  • Reports abnormal findings or changes in physical, mental and emotional conditions to nursing staff

  • Assists with keeping patient's environment safe, clean, and orderly

You Have:

  • 1 year or more of experience is preferred.

  • Current Maine CNA or PSS certification is required

  • Personal Support Specialist required within 120 days of hire.

  • Basic Life Support Provider is preferred.
