Lighting Technician
Arktura LLC, a global technology and design manufacturer of Architectural Systems is searching for a Lighting Technician who pushes the boundaries of lighting and has a passion for making things. You will join a collaborative multidisciplinary team of designers, engineers, software developers, scientists, and sales, and marketing experts in our state-of-the-art Los Angeles Manufacturing Headquarters, where we will design the future of the built environment.

Once here you will immediately make an impact by:
Supporting the development of new electrical and lighting products for the future of integrated architectural systems.
Bringing systems to life though sketching, quick prototyping, simulation, and detailed 3D Modeling.
Serving as a key conduit between sales and production handling order management of complex standard and customized orders.
Troubleshooting manufacturing and installation challenges with a positive customer experience.
Setting effective standards for manufacturing, safety, and quality control of lighting systems.
Reviewing and designing electrical specifications and wiring diagrams to ensure Arktura provides the highest quality, reliability, and performance.
Thoughtfully developing the design and engineering details to ensure performance, ease of use, and manufacturing.
Developing documents and routing boms that will communicate how to turn your designs into reality.
Reviewing and testing your finished products in our state of the art manufacturing facility; in the same building you designed it.
Using your communication and clarity to support agile-based projects and the success of our customers.
Naturally, you have:
2 to 5 years’ experience in lighting systems and manufacturing
Great 3D modelling skills in Solidworks and/or Rhino
Experience with UL, ETL CSA, NEC, and photometric testing
Fun with programming DMX, Dali or other lighting protocols for control systems
Preformed lighting calculations for spaces
Experience with mechanical design for enclosures and structural systems
A passion for fabrication, tinkering, and working with your hands
Exceptional communication skills
A drive to take responsibility and get things done, while being a stellar team player
A passion for continuing to learn and grow
Organizational skills that help you to keep track of everything
A love and hate relationship with Microsoft Word and Excel
Any of these would be a plus:
Experience with architectural design, detailing or construction
Experience with ERP systems
Experience with sheet metal design
A passion for CNC manufacturing
Experience with microcontrollers
Confidence in programming languages like Python, VB, or C

The estimated base salary range for this role is $55,000.00 to $75,000.00 a year. Individual pay is based upon location, skills and expertise, experience, and other relevant factors.
