Job Summary
Canteen seeks a creative communicator passionate about storytelling, influencing, and connecting. The ideal candidate is a self-starter skilled at delivering clear messages verbally, visually, and in writing across various mediums. Collaborating with the Vice President of People Operations & Strategy, the Communications & Event Manager will craft and share Canteen’s story through video, social media, digital platforms, thought leadership, corporate social responsibility, and employee/client communications. This role requires a hospitality mindset, teamwork, positivity, strong project management, and a sense of humor.
Responsibilities
Coordinate: Division Meetings, Be A Star Awards, Town Hall, Canteen TV, Nudge, CHAT, Training Calendar, Social Media Content, Holiday Communications, Client Relationship Connections, Divisional Communication, Rewards & Recognition, and light Executive Assistant duties.
Manage division training, content development, and field implementation for CTV and Nudge. Develop division communication plans and roll out programs. Create video content and scripts.
Oversee division/dining newsletters and client communications via Constant Contact.
Support strategic media campaigns. Create and update marketing materials for consumers, clients, and associates. Manage division social media channels.
Maintain the Training Calendar for the Pacific Division and develop programs to enhance engagement in company culture.
Plan the Be A Star program, including annual awards events. Manage associate recognition programs.
Lead Town Hall activities and write content for communication campaigns, including video, internal/external communications, social media, and traditional media.
Support storytelling campaigns promoting diversity, equity, inclusion, and corporate social responsibility goals.
Collaborate with leadership on content strategy, planning, and initiatives showcasing thought leadership, innovation, and company pride.
Manage awards calendar, identify opportunities, and draft submissions.
Create email content and client-facing communications.
Design custom graphics and fulfill sales/operations requests.
Plan and execute all divisional meetings and events.
Provide administrative support to the Division President and VP of People Operations & Strategy.
Regularly distribute internal and external content for operations and client services.
Qualifications
5+ years of corporate communications or content marketing experience (portfolio required).
Proven experience writing press releases, case studies, blogs, and video scripts. Skilled in project and virtual meeting planning.
Strong creative skills to produce compelling content for diverse audiences.
Up-to-date on communication measurement, reporting, and social media trends.
Excellent proofreading skills, ensuring alignment with messaging, audience, and tone.
Preferred experience in agency or corporate communications.
Knowledge of Microsoft SharePoint, WordPress, and video editing is a plus.
Ability to travel up to 30%, including overnights.
