EAC Network Respite Companion - In Home Respite in Garden City, New York
Respite CompanionThe Respite Companion position is a non-exempt position paying $15 per hour for up to 6 hours per week. Position is available immediately and has flexible days/hours. The office is located in Hempstead, NY and the role reports to the program's Coordinator..Primary Purpose of Job:To provide "time off" for the caregiver of a home-bound elderly person. Principal Duties & Responsibilities:Participate in orientation and in-service workshops.Provide supervision and companionship on an individual basis to elderly persons.Assist care recipient with everyday routines such as eating, walking and light exercise.Submit records and time sheets on a timely basis.Report any problems which affect service to the Sr. Director or Program Coordinator. Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities Required:Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to relate appropriately with elderly individuals.
Minimum Salary: 15 Maximum Salary: 15 Salary Unit: Yearly
