This is a full-time, exempt position with a starting salary of \$66,768 - \$85,904 annually, DOQ.

Primary Responsibilities:
The Traffic Engineer is tasked with the coordination and review of traffic impact studies for new development.\ Review large and/or complicated development applications for compliance with ACHDs policies and standards; including preparation of staff reports for the ACHD Board of Commissioners and may include technical presentations to the Commission.\ Provides technical guidance to the Development and Engineering communities, as well as ACHD staff.\ Other duties as assigned that benefit the department.\ Qualifications:
The successful candidate must have comprehensive knowledge of traffic impact studies, traffic engineering and planning principles and practices.\ Must possess an Idaho Professional Engineering (PE) license, or the ability to obtain within one year. Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering, Traffic Engineering or a related Engineering field is required; OR any equivalent combination of experience and training which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.\ Any combination of education and experience, which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities, is acceptable.\ A completed application is required and must be submitted to Human Resources by 4:30pm, April 5, 2024.
