As our Supply Chain Specialist, you’ll support HID’s success by:

Supply Chain Project Management for designated Documents and Solutions projects (worldwide)

Build the Supply Chain delivery scheduled for assigned programs including materials supply, production steps in the different sites and transport times

Manage the procurement of raw materials with vendors and plan production with the Global Planning Manager and contract manufacturers to ensure on time in full delivery

Challenge materials and production costs & lead times. Work in collaboration with the Category Manager for escalations.

Balance inventory level with risks and cash flow considerations

Coordinate shipping of goods in cooperation with the Logistics Manager

Track actual supply, production, and shipment vs plan

Create part numbers and purchase orders in Oracle and send them to vendors

Define shipping specifications for suppliers and ensure proper execution (customs procedures…)

Ensure adherence to trade compliance requirements, identify dual-used items which are import/export controlled

Participate in weekly Program reviews calls for alignment with other departments

Manage and resolve all supply chain related issues to deliver the Customer Project

Support pre-sales activities by providing delivery schedule for new business opportunities

Support logistics activities when required

Expertise & Continuous improvement

  • Identify issues and opportunities for improvements in the supply chain

  • Benchmark processes, metrics and tools against best practices

  • Lead transformation projects with cross-functional teams to improve the processes and tools

  • Train stakeholders, then implement and control improvement

    Other duties may be assigned

    Your Experience and Education include:

    Undergraduate college degree or equivalent, degree within Engineering is preferred

    Minimum 3+ years’ experience in supply chain management (procurement, planning, S&OP, …) in an international environment

    Ability to work in a multi-cultural environment

    Holder of APICS “Certified Supply Chain Professional” or equivalent (preferred)

    Ability to effectively communicate in the English language, both verbally and in writing.

    Advanced user of MS Excel (VLOOKUP, pivot tables, formulas…)

    Oracle ERP knowledge is a plus

    A team player who is proactive in their duties and can find solutions to challenges presented to them

    Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and make valid recommendations

    Rigorous and strong analysis skills
