MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Ph.D., M.D. or Doctoral equivalent in any field and one (1) year of completed Postdoctoral Fellow research experience.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

The postdoctoral fellow will conduct, report and present research in his/her field of study under the supervision of a faculty mentor. This is a training position, and is not expected to be a permanent position.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

This position will assist in research of non-coding RNAs (ncRNAs) in viral infections and associated applications to viral replication and disease development control. This Postdoctoral Trainee will be help the PI to conduct research activities including but not limited to patient sample processing, establishing experimental models to study the roles of ncRNAs in infectious diseases and neurodegenerative disorders, informatics support to identify novel disease biomarkers (both ncRNAs and mRNAs) and regulatory ncRNA-mRNA network, training graduate students, and animal laboratories activities. Additionally, this position will also interpret data, provide information for publications, assist with grant submissions, and presentations at conferences.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Ph.D. with research experience in infectious diseases, neurodegenerative diseases, and immunology.
