Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor Degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Instructional Technologies, Education or related field and three years of related experience.
Job Summary:
Work with faculty and staff in building courses for the current LMS platform. Builds digital learning objects to produce engaging and effective instructional materials. Implements assessments and testing for distance learning courses. Provides training to faculty about general functions of the LMS systems and course functions. Provides technical support for faculty and students and documents frequent issues.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Collaborateswith Facultyto design and develop highlyinteractive courses/modulesusing multimediatechnologyandauthoringtoolsforonline deliveryof newand existingcourses.
Develops and uses Leaning Management System (LMS) functionality to produce engaging content, plus hands-on exercises, assignments, assessments, etc.
Uses authoring tools including those for producing text, graphics, animation, sound, and video.
Provides process improvement and instructional design support for educational materials.
Developsandexecutesprojectplanstoensuretimelydeliveryofeducational materials.
AssistFacultyinexistingcoursecontentrevisionandcontinuingcourses/modules updates, development and maintenance.
Communicate regularly and effectively with team members, colleagues, and faculty and student clients.
Providetimelyandthoroughdocumentationofprojects.
Trains faculty, staff, and students on using, maintaining and administrating LMS courses and/or education technology software and tools.
Develops and delivers training materials for nontechnical audiences on using education technology resources.
Providestechnicalsupportover email and phone for tools and software related to education technology.
May assist with grants projects requiring learning support.

Advancedknowledgeoflearningmanagementsystems (BlackBoard, Canvas)
Hands-onexperiencedevelopinginstructionalmaterialsforLMSsuchasBlackBoard, Canvas, etc.
AdvanceduserofMS-Office
Experiencewithdocumentation development for non-technical audiences, and/or technical writing.
Experience with technical or other phone and email support.
AbilitytorapidlyinterpretFaculty'ideasintocourseimplementationprocesses.
Instructional Design skills.
DESIRED Skills:
ExperiencewithApple products (iPad, Apple Office Software)
ExperiencewithwebauthoringsoftwaresuchSoftChalk,VoiceThread, GoReact, Panopto, etc.
Graphic Design skills in software such as Venngage, Canva, or Adobe Products
Salary Range:
Commensurate with Experience
WORKING ENVIRONMENT/LOCATION OF POSITION :
Standard office environment at UTMB’s main campus. Occasional travel required for meetings at UTMB mainland locations or industry conferences.
