DESCRIPTION

We are looking for a talented Health, Safety & Environment Compliance Manager to join our team in Eaton Cummins Joint Venture (ECJV): Eaton Cummins Automated Transmission Technologies in MI, Galesburg.

Job Summary:

Leads efforts to track requirements and ensure that sites in the region comply with applicable health, safety, environment, and sustainability (HSE) legal and regulatory obligations through mitigation of business continuity risk, support for the company’s financial and business interests and protection of the company’s overall reputation.

RESPONSIBILITIES

To be successful in this role, you will need the following:

  • Training Coordination: Maintain a comprehensive training calendar and catalog.

  • Communication: Effectively communicate with managers about upcoming training schedules.

  • Facilitator Scheduling: Schedule training facilitators, assist with travel arrangements, and ensure adequate staffing for all sessions.

  • Participant Management: Invite eligible participants, register them for sessions, and send timely reminders.

  • Logistics Management: Arrange meeting spaces, online training rooms, and teleconferences as needed.

  • Material Preparation: Prepare and ensure on-time delivery of training and facilitator materials.

  • Feedback Analysis: Collect training evaluations, summarize results, and provide reports to the Training Manager and facilitators.

  • Record Keeping: Record attendance, update transcripts, and perform follow-up with participants when necessary.

Education, Licenses, Certifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Management, Environmental Engineering, Science, Law, or other aligned science or engineering discipline, Master’s Degree Preferred.

Experience:

  • 5-7 years experience in support and management of HSE compliance.

  • 1-3 years experience working across multiple sites preferred.

  • Direct experience with regulatory agency negotiations. Knowledge and experience with ISO 14001, OHSAS 18001, ISO 45001 Management Systems, and the 50001 Energy Management System Standards and how to leverage conformance in support of regulatory compliance.

QUALIFICATIONS

This position will be an employee of the Eaton Cummins Joint Venture (ECJV): Eaton Cummins Automated Transmission Technologies.

Additional responsibilities include:

  • Drive continuous improvement by implementing HSE risk management methods, procedures and programs to reduce accidents and injuries.

  • Develop and mature HSE management system to govern and manage entire Eaton Cummins Automatic Transmission Technologies sites and organizations.

  • Serve as HSE Management Representative for all 3rd party certifications and manage the internal/external audit programs.

  • Experience with high voltage safety practices and requirements preferred.

Please note that the salary range provided is a good faith estimate on the applicable range. The final salary offer will be determined after considering relevant factors, including a candidate’s qualifications and experience, where appropriate.
