Eaton Corporation Co-Op: Marketing & Communications - Galesburg, MI in Galesburg, Michigan

Eaton’s IS VEH VGGP division is currently seeking a Marketing and Communications Co-Op.

The hourly rate for this position is $19.38 - $24.23 per hour.

What you’ll do:

PRIMARY FUNCTION:

Provides support for activities such as coordinating social media accounts, developing sales collateral and other materials, assisting with event planning, coordinating travel itineraries and schedules for events, basic administrative work, creating/delivering presentations.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

A. Working with marketing managers to generate content for social media and web; utilize corporate tools to create posts and manage social media accounts

B. Creating reports, analyze data, and interpret results for management

C. Assisting in developing, evaluating, implementing, updating and maintaining various department websites, tools, programs and processes.

D. Supporting event management (trade shows, webinars, etc.)

E. Attending and participating in meetings and carrying out designated action items

F. Supporting projects and managing time for multiple assignments

Qualifications:

Basic Qualifications:

  • Must be currently enrolled in or received a bachelor’s degree program from an accredited institution – degree emphasized in marketing, business, communications, or advertising

  • Minimum completion of 2 years toward the degree

  • Legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now or in the future

  • Must have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above (please do not round)

  • Relocation is not provided for this role, the candidate must be located within 50 miles of Galesburg, MI

Position Criteria:

  • ­ Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel); working knowledge of SharePoint is encouraged but not required.

  • ­ Ability to communicate across the function and collaborate with peers

  • ­ Attention to detail

  • ­ Thinks and acts strategically

  • ­ Takes direction quickly and is self-motivated

  • ­ Confidence to present ideas and network with internal organization

Preferred Criteria:

  • Experience with digital marketing

  • ­ Experience managing a business social media account

  • ­ Experience with Canva and other digital creative platforms

  • ­ Students enrolled in their MBA or other related graduate program

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:

• Expected duration of employment is minimum of one year or upon graduation from college

• Expected to work full-time (40 hours) during the summer hours and part time (maximum of 30 hours) throughout the school year
