    Successfully executing bank market-area community sponsorships, partnerships and agreements, while working with market area-bank representatives and executive team members to include budget forecasting and reviews of agreed sponsorships. Being the lead in First State Bank brand management to include proper usage on all signage, ad creation, promotional items and apparel, this individual must possess a keen eye to details, accuracy and brand standards. Using independent judgement and accountability, works to achieve monthly balanced inventory on all promotional items. Works closely with senior digital marketing specialist and Human Resources to oversee online Neighbors First Volunteer Program portal. Builds, enhances and promotes bank’s financial literacy outreach program to market area populations.

    Essential Job Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Community sponsorship oversight and budget : maintains daily communications with bank market representatives to coordinate, execute and deliver planned sponsorships, partnerships and accompanying agreements; provides community organizations in turn requested bank branded advertising, assets and collateral; maintains daily budget oversight of submitted market area spreadsheets and upholds at or under budget criteria by performing monthly budget audits; holds annually a sponsorship review and forecasting meeting with all market representatives and bank executives; works with accounts payable to ensure accurate submission of payment requests, as well as with compliance officer to obtain accurate Community Reinvestment Act (CRA) credit where applicable; assists bank market representatives in community organization events and functions by providing requested promotional items and on site, in-person set-up and take-down during work day, Monday through Friday, and evenings and weekends as required. Work toward creating and establishing a functioning online charitable giving platform that will streamline community organization requests, assists in accounting/financial reporting and improve upon capturing CRA credit, upholding the bank’s core value of relentless improvement.

  • Promotional and branded items oversight and budget: oversees all promotional item ordering by working with vendors, maintain accurate inventory of items through Shopify, detailed attention to distribution and recording of items received/sent, and establishing and maintaining inventory budget and ownership; assigns through Shopify new employee gift cards, annual employee Christmas and celebration gift cards, while adhering to apparel brand standards; working with bank executives to fulfill branded items requests. Continue to update and maintain the online bank branded items store to streamline bank branch requests, bank branch promotional item budgeting and overall effectiveness of brand promotions while upholding the bank’s core value of relentless improvement.

  • Neighbors First Volunteer Program coordination and outreach : while maintaining constant communication and shared roles with Sr. Digital Marketing Specialist and Human Resources (HR), oversee the maintenance, updating and tracking employee volunteer hours through the employee volunteer online calendar and registration available through the banks Intranet, First Place. Tracking of employee hours and working with HR will be critical as all employees are recognized for their volunteering at quarterly employee meetings and annual service awards dinner with top volunteers receiving special recognition during the service awards. Work to maintain consistent messaging and promoting of Neighbors First Events which are bank sponsored and approved events held outside normal business hours, along with all other volunteering which is a critical component of supporting our involvement with CRA and supports our mission of Treating the Community as our Home. Work with market area bank leadership and representatives to identify through their local communities opportunities for increased and maintained bank presence at community events and volunteer opportunities, and coordinate all needed bank swag, tents,etc. to deliver to branches for a successful event; in this effort, expected media exposure through social media and local print publications by way of announcements and photos will occur. Oversee and maintain Neighbors First Volunteer Program logo and T-shirt distribution for sponsored events.

  • Financial Literacy coordination and outreach : directs the efforts, organization and scheduling of the bank’s financial literacy outreach program to students in 1st, 8th and 12th grades as well as the adult/senior adult population. Work to meet and maintain goals and objectives of literacy outreach to include teaching children and adults alike how to develop healthy financial skills through planned financial tutorials; in children, establishing basics of financial literacy to include banking terms and the basics of financial transactions; in adults, supplement existing financial knowledge to help develop and/or refine spending and saving habits. Coordinate with bank subject matter experts to facilitate and volunteer their time to present to said groups. Work to enhance existing literacy training material and increase digital and video-led presentations.

  • Brand integrity and logo/signage maintenance : coordinates the oversight of all bank brand usages to ensure integrity and proper adherence in accordance with the First State Bank Brand Standard Guide, to include but not limited to logo, signage ad creation and apparel/merchandise.

  • Media Invoicing; work directly with Accounts Payable to review and approve all monthly media invoices while comparing to the planning flowchart. In addition, serve as in-house media buyer to work with market media outlets to secure and place advertisements.

  • Ad Creation; create media and sponsorship ads while following Brand Standard Guidelines using Adobe Creative Suite.

    Other Job Duties

  • Work closely with Senior Vice President of Marketing and Public Relations to assist in all responsibilities to include, but not limited to marketing in traditional advertising, internal and external stakeholder communication and public relations.

  • Assist with bank-sponsored events as needed in coordination through the Executive C-Suite and HR.

  • Assist in the development and communication of marketing strategy plans, new market entry plans and project recommendation.

  • Collaborate with other departments to manage reputation, identify key players and coordinate actions.

    Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • BS in Marketing, Advertising, Public Relations or BBA in General Business required.

  • 1-3 years demonstrated experience in marketing, public relations and/or communications field and/or working for an advertising agency preferred.

  • Self-motivated, analytical, quick learner, organized, detail-oriented

  • Excellent and effective verbal and written communication on all levels both internally and externally, and presentation skills.

  • Prioritizes workload and meets deadlines for a variety of customer relations and marketing deliverables.

  • Demonstrates initiative with a results orientation, while exhibiting strong drive and leadership skills.

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office and Adobe Creative Suite (ie. Photoshop)

  • Knowledgeable with Shopify Online Store platform

  • Ability to manage the additional aspects of working independently and by using independent judgement without constant direct supervision; ability to problem solve.
