Description:

Product Regulatory Specialist is responsible to work with and maintain systems for the management of raw material and product records, work within established procedures and templates using product safety software tool to ensure the creation of globally compliant SDS's and labels, ensure product compliance with global chemical control laws, work with established procedures and templates in respond to standard customer regulatory requests and help keep organization abreast of the ever changing global regulation which affect our product lines.

Role and Responsibilities

  • Work with the product safety software tool and the associated rules, procedures and templates to ensure the creation of globally compliant product SDS's and labels.
  • Determine basic product regulatory status using information provided by vendors and product safety software system.
  • Work with established system for the maintenance and sharing of raw material SDS's and data.
  • Respond to customer regulatory requests using established verbiage and templates
  • Provide support to consulting resources as necessary.
  • Represent company on external trade groups and teams to support business objectives.
  • Attend appropriate technical seminars to develop expertise.
  • Maintain product safety and regulatory documentation following established work processes, procedures, and practices.
  • Practice safe work habits in accordance with OSHA and EPA guidelines, and organization specific EHS expectations.

Requirements:

Qualifications and Education Requirements

  • Minimum a BS degree in Chemistry, Biology or Toxicology with strong background in organic and/or powder coating chemistry.
  • Background in area of hazard communication including GHS with 2+ years of experience.
  • Strong verbal, written and analytical skills and the ability to interact effectively with all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to efficiently manage time and workload.
  • Technology proficiency in document, spreadsheet, and presentation generation and management as well as Internet and email use.
  • Able to develop, follow and audit against established procedures.
  • Ability to pay close attention to detail, ensuring accuracy in work
