Job Description

- Objective:
In the context of Safran Seat's MRO increase of activity, the MRO S&OP Leader's responsibility is to manage the forecast, demand, and planning specific to the repair station and interface with the global supply chain organization of Safran Seats for part procurement. This position is a key enabler of our shop's performance improvement.
The MRO S&OP Leader will report directly to the Repair Station Manager.
Under minimal supervision, the MRO S&OP Leader will carry improvement projects to implement and to lead the S&OP management process in the shop.
The MRO S&OP Leader will also coordinate transversally the team of people in charge of planning, procurement, purchasing and logistics within the MRO department.
He / she will also conduct operational work in any of the functions in the perimeter, depending on needs. As such, he / she will for instance be responsible for creating repair orders and will work closely with repair station manufacturing engineer and technicians to ensure all components are allocated and repair order operations are accurate to the repair needs for each order. He / she may be required to assist in purchase order management, Sales Order Management, and Work Order Management, or any other tasks directed by the Repair Station Manager.
- Main Functions and Responsibilities:
A) Implement and then lead the supply chain process of the repair station. This will include demand plan, forecasts, planning, procurement, purchasing and logistics; the implementation phase will be run through a project led by the MRO S&OP Leader.
B) The MRO S&OP Leader will coordinate with other SST Repair Stations (in France and UK), share both ways good practices and processes, in order to increase our global maturity and consistency.
C) Develop and manage well defined interfaces with other départements in SSUS.
D) Recommend a suitable training plan in order to develop expertise at the targeted level in Supply Chain for the MRO team; coach in person team members on S&OP topics as appropriate.
E) Conduct operational work in any of the supply chain functions depending on needs.
F) Support and drive on time supply chain and planning activities to align with Repair Station milestones. Communicate schedules and milestones. Communicate schedules and milestones for Repair to the various Materials functional groups.
G) Ensure all parts are available to Repair Station when needed (internal and external).
H) Manage the escalation process in case of risk identified on the supply chain performance.
Complementary Description
I) Coordinate communications between appropriate functions such as Purchasing, Planning, and Engineering to ensure the Repair Activity has the greatest chance of success.
J) This position will work in conjunction with and drive demand planning, back-shop planning, procurement, ECN implementation, and final assembly to ensure on time delivery.
K) Maintain accurate demand dates including the scheduling of repair work orders and sales orders for the Repair Station.
L) Demonstrate continuous effort to improve operations, decrease turnaround times, streamline work processes, and work cooperatively and jointly to provide seamless customer service.
M) Prepare required reports using ERP system, as requested by management. Ability to access relevant information from the ERP system in order to produce required reports.
N) Manage and report part shortages and Customer backlog burn-down plans.
O) Manage and report repair station inventory level.
P) Works from internal and customer supplied Technical maintenance documents such as CMM, AMM, SB, SIL, ADs, drawings, work instructions and EOs to create work orders to accomplish repairs.
Q) Determines the appropriate lead time for repairs.
R) Develop and manage the load / capacity of the shop, in labor, parts and tooling.
S) All other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements
- Qualification Requirements:
A) Education & Qualification -
• Bachelor's in Supply Chain, Business, Finance or related field OR in lieu of degree, 3 years of supply chain/procurement/planning/operations background in manufacturing environment.
• Master's degree in Supply Chain or related field preferred.
• Knowledge of S&OP fundamentals.
• Lean Sigma green belt certification preferred.
B) Work Experience / Technical Knowledge-
• Three (3) years in S&OP areas.
• Background in manufacturing or repair station environment required.
• Knowledge of industry suppliers, product(s), and manufacturing capabilities highly preferred.
• Aerospace industry knowledge preferred.
C) Professional Skills-
• Experience with forecasting models and rates of consumption models is preferred.
• Must have a basic understanding of manufacturing processes.
• Must have experience using computer programs in Windows/Office applications such as Excel spreadsheets, Word, Power Point, and email.
• Flexible to customer changes, urgencies, and make good decisions under pressure, also able to work reasonable over time when required.
• Must have the ability to generate written communication and to operate required office equipment.
• Ability to read and review written communication.
• Speech and hearing abilities that allow individual to communicate clearly and distinctly in English.
• Advanced understanding of planning tools and ERP Systems.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, attention to detail.
D) Behavioral Skills-
• Organized and detailed oriented.
• Successful leadership experience (notably through project management).
• Excellent verbal and written communication, presentation and training skills.
E) Desirable Aspects-
• Experience with Database Reporting is a plus.
- Travel:
• International and/or Domestic travel required, 5% or less.
