Job Title: Regional Industrial Engineer
Location: 654 Univeter Road, Canton, GA 30115
Duties Design, develop, test, and evaluate systems for managing industrial production processes. Investigate, assess, and analyze, in cooperation with other departments, areas of operations and quality improvement, cost reduction, method improvement, yield control, and equipment maintenance, and provide suggestions for improvement. Implement method improvements reducing the cost of production and track to strive for a budgeted goal. Measure variances to standards, identify out of control variances, investigate reasons, suggest solutions, install, and follow up. Develop and maintain daily/weekly labor efficiency reports. Responsible for assuring that all production procedures are followed in order to achieve the highest level of productivity in the most cost-efficient manner possible while still maintaining the customers' specifications. Plan and establish a sequence of operations to ensure the use of processes throughout the business, act as a lead-in process map training, and drive the culture of continuous process improvement. Plan and schedule manpower, materials, product, and machines to most effectively and efficiently utilize departmental policies and procedures to maintain standards established for safety, quality, and overall company personnel satisfaction. Develop, install, and maintain equitable standards, including the establishment of the format to be used in the development of standards data, crewing guides, reconciliation reports, and the use of work-sampling techniques to resolve questions of operator utilization or performance. Keep abreast of industrial engineering innovations and new technology trends, and investigate, improve, and install the most effective methods of manufacturing to keep our company at a competitive edge. Must be willing to travel up to 80% throughout the US.
Requirements: Bachelors degree (or foreign equivalent) in Industrial Engineering, Systems Engineering, or related. 3 months of experience as Industrial engineer, Production Trainee, or related. Experience must include: Developing and maintaining labor efficiency report. Developing programs based on Six Sigma.
