TECH 3: To ensure that sound corrective, preventive and predictive maintenance practices are performed in an effort to obtain reliable operation of critical equipment and processes. Ensuring that all internal safety and maintenance related compliance requirements and external regulatory requirements are followed. Partnering up with all co-workers to establish the necessary teamwork required to achieve departmental and company goals and objectives. To foster an environment of continuous improvement while giving consideration to developing personnel skills.
TECH 4: Independently execute advanced maintenance activities or operate assigned equipment, facility, utility, and HVAC Systems in accordance with established guidelines and operating procedures.

Duties & Responsibilities
TECH 3:
Perform equipment pm duties.
Repair equipment and completion of work orders.
Grounds Maintenance.
Safe operation of equipment and facilities.
TECH 4:
Execute advanced maintenance activities, or operate and monitor complex plant support equipment, with ability to resolve complex issues or problems independently
Maintain an up-to-date working spare parts inventory system for the equipment/systems for which the team is responsible
Ensures "Housekeeping" activities, (i.e. keeping work areas clean, cleaning of equipment etc.) are performed routinely and all work areas are restored at the end of each shift
Develop and maintain a detailed training program for the team in order to develop team’s knowledge in the maintenance and operations field and other areas of the plant
All work must be completed in accordance with CFRs, cGMPs, SOPs, job plans and corporate policies.
Develop, revise, and review SOPs or job plans/work plans for work related areas
Perform advanced trouble shooting and detailed failure analysis to uncover root cause
May make day-to-day work assignments to other technicians and ensure that work is executed according to the plan/schedule
Coordinates the work of outside contractors performing projects or supplementing the work force.
Leads cross-functional equipment improvement teams to improve equipment performance and reliability
Demonstrate a visible & tangible commitment to HSE, Lean Principles, and the BI Vision in all work related activities
In addition to the above, other assigned duties & projects deemed appropriate within the position scope
May not own or have contact with other birds or poultry.
Requirements
TECH 3:
High School diploma or GED, required. Associate's degree from an accredited institution, in an engineering, maintenance or scientific discipline, preferred.
1 year of progressive experience in a maintenance related field, required.
Proficiency in relevant computer software and programs associated with area.
Experience with Microsoft Word and Excel, required.
Must have attention to detail and commitment to customer service.
Strong oral and written communication skills to be able to effectively interface with all levels of BIAH personnel and outside consultants.
Familiarity with other aspects of facilities engineering and maintenance such as buildings and grounds maintenance, transportation equipment, reliability technologies, security are all pluses.
Organizational skills in planning, goal setting, prioritizing project work and coordinating with operations.
Being able to work in different work environments and not afraid of heights.
Be familiar with running grounds equipment.
General mechanical knowledge on how equipment and facilities operate.
Understanding of OSHA and USDA Regulatory Requirements.
Desired Experience, Skills, and Abilities:
Minimum of 1 year of experience, preferably in manufacturing in the pharmaceutical or biological industry.
Working knowledge of Maintenance Best Practices (Reliability, Planning and Scheduling, Work Execution) strongly desired.
TECH 4:
High School Diploma or equivalent + 8 years of a combination of training and experience in one or more of the following fields: Utility Operations/Maintenance, Process Equipment Maintenance, Control Systems, HVAC Operations/Maintenance, and/or Fire Systems Maintenance OR Associate's degree + 6 years OR Bachelors degree + 4 years. Electrical / Electronics, preferred.
