Job Summary and Qualifications

The Clinical Professional Development Educator enhances professional practice and the provision of quality patient care by providing evidence-based quality educational programs and activities that promote professional aptitude for nursing, inter-professional, and non-licensed clinical staff at the assigned facility.

What you will do in this role:

  • Manage patient care for stroke patients from admission to discharge, ensuring adherence to established clinical guidelines and protocols.

  • Collaborate with the stroke team (physicians, nurses, therapists) to optimize patient care and facilitate timely interventions.

  • Monitor patient progress, identify potential complications, and initiate necessary interventions.

What qualifications you will need:

EDUCATION REQUIRED AND/OR PREFERRED:

Graduate of accredited school of nursing. Bachelor of Science in Nursing required.

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED OR PREFERRED:

Five (5) years experience in clinical specialty (Med/Surg, Neurosurgery preferred).

SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND ABILITIES:

Demonstrates effective leadership, teaching and clinical skills. Role model in critical thinking, assessment skills and evidenced based nursing care. Excellent human relations and verbal/written communication skills. Knowledge of adult learning principles. Serves as role model and resource for nursing staff and other mid-level providers. Use of technology and resource management.

LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION:

Holds current RN licensure in the State of Florida or appropriate compact licensure. If compact license held, active FL RN license required within 90 days of hire.

BLS required; ACLS and Advanced Certification preferred.
