Job Description:

Business Requirements:Facilitates sessions to map out current and proposed payroll processes and requirements and collaborates closely with the implementation partner to translate institutional and stakeholder requirements to the new system's configuration. Ensures the engagement of all relevant parties in the process, including process owners, subject matter experts, end users, and other stakeholders. Works closely with other workstream leads and business partners to understand institutional goals, current state gaps, and cross-team impacts.

Design and Configuration:Learns key software capabilities and how they can be applied to meet payroll processing and accounting business requirements. Collaborates closely with the implementation partner to translate institutional and stakeholder requirements to the new system's configuration. Review and unit test business processes, reports, and security role configurations to ensure alignment with business requirements.

Testing and Conversion:Assesses data quality and facilitates pre-conversion data clean-up. Collaborates with process owners and implementation partners to map legacy data to Workday data structures. Validates the accuracy of data conversion. Develops and executes test scenarios. Identifies and records defects and collaborates with implementation partners to remediate defects and re-test functionality. Maintains test metrics.

Project Management:Documents and tracks project requirements. Tracks project plan deliverables and ensure timely completion. Develops and communicates team status reports. Partners with the process owner to develop a cut-over plan and communications for Go Live. Participates in the communication of changes and assists the Change Management team in the development of end-user training and job aids.

Other duties as assigned. Conducts a variety of special projects as needed to support implementation.

Expected Salary:

$80,000- $90,000 annually

Minimum Requirements:

Master’s degree in an appropriate area of specialization and four years of appropriate experience; or a bachelor’s degree in an appropriate area of specialization and six years of appropriate experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Strong understanding of payroll processes, accounting principles and financial reporting

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think through issues and provide alternate, well-defined solutions

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Detail-oriented with a focus on delivering high-quality results within established timelines.

  • Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and meet project deadlines
