Job Description:
The Division of Allergy, Immunology and Rheumatology in the Department of Pediatrics at the University of Florida, College of Medicine in Gainesville, Florida, is recruiting a pediatric rheumatologist at the rank of Assistant/Associate/Full Professor (non-tenure track). Rank will be commensurate with qualifications. Responsibilities include patient care in the inpatient and outpatient settings, teaching of pediatric rheumatology fellows, residents, and medical students, and/or research, with effort in each area to be determined by candidate strengths.
The Division has three board-certified pediatric rheumatologists as well as six pediatric rheumatology APRNs and two LPNs, providing comprehensive care to children and adolescents throughout Florida. Our center of excellence is among the largest in the state and the only ACGME-approved program in Florida providing pediatric rheumatology fellowship training. We are extremely active in the Childhood Arthritis and Rheumatology Research Alliance (CARRA) and its sub studies, as well as investigator-initiated and pharma-funded research and have a full-time clinical research coordinator and access to other research support through the pediatrics department. We provide training in musculoskeletal ultrasound and have collaborative research and clinical relationships with Adult Rheumatology, Orthopedics, and PMR, including their state-of-the-art gait analysis laboratory. The Division also includes a pediatric immunologist who directs one of three state-funded SCID newborn screening sites and provides care to a large population of children with primary immunodeficiencies, as well as two allergists, one pediatric allergy APRN, and allergy nursing.

Expected Salary:
Commensurate with education and experience.
Minimum Requirements:
Applicants must have an M.D. degree or equivalent, be licensed or eligible for licensure in Florida, and be board certified/eligible in Pediatrics Rheumatology.
