Adecco US, Inc. Commission Engineering Technician in Fulton, New York
Duties and Requirements may include, but are not limited to the following:
Leads and performs the commissioning and acceptance of equipment at customers facilities:
Maintains a safe work environment by following all applicable policies.
Provides input to commissioning plans and schedules.
Participates in pre-commission meetings with Customers and the commissioning team.
Coordinates onsite activities of the company, supplier, customer personnel to assure timely completion of tasks.
Optimizes machine performance and trouble shoots issues with assistance from Project Managers, Engineering, Product Line Managers, suppliers, and others to optimize the performance of machines and rectify safety, design, and functionality discrepancies.
Trains customer operators on proper machine operation.
Provides marked up drawings (mechanical, electrical, pneumatic) and software per "as built" and returns them to the lead engineers for updating and archiving.
Provides written service reports to customers and within the company.
Supports installation of equipment when required.
Performs Factory Acceptance tests to ensure finished equipment conforms to all safety, mechanical, electrical, software, designs and Customer specifications.
Provides customers technical assistance in troubleshooting and servicing of company's equipment onsite and remotely.
Provide feedback to manuals on non-standard equipment set up procedures.
Recommends changes to current engineering and quality standards to improve overall product performance and eliminate future issues.
Minimum Four-Year degree or a combination of equivalent education and experience in Electrical Engineering, Engineering Technology, Electro-Mechanical Technology is a plus
Minimum of 5 years' experience in machine design, troubleshooting and customer/field support
Deep specialized equipment process and design methodology and fundamentals
Strong technical analytical skills and experience with a broad range of converting equipment
Knowledge of the equipment, the industry, and processes is preferred
Computer literate, familiar with Microsoft Windows with working knowledge of Excel and Word software
Reads and understands mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic schematics
Experience working with and troubleshooting Rockwell and/or Siemens PLC Ladder logic
Rockwell, Parker and/or Siemens Drives experience a plus
Strong knowledge of electrical safety best practices
Experience using quality tools and methodologies
Experience using Lean methodologies and tools
Experience in incident management, problem management, root cause analysis, and trouble shooting
Travel: 80%-90%
Compensation: $38 - $48 per hour
