Job Description

Cognosante is seeking to fill a Site Lead – Texas Region / Senior Systems Administrator position for the Department of Defense to support an Enterprise-wide IT contract for the US Army military intelligence community. The candidate will serve as a Site Lead providing oversight & management of regionally aligned contractors providing all aspects of IT O&M, system engineering & administration, network engineering & administration, knowledge management, database/storage administration, and service desk support to our Army mission partner. This candidate will also be dual-hatted as a Senior Systems Administrator for the IT infrastructure at their specific duty location. This is contingent upon contract award.

Key Responsibilities

  • As ‘Site Lead’:

  • Manages daily activities related to service delivery and performance of contractors in assigned region.

  • Maintain regular contact with supported government stakeholders to ensure contract deliverables are understood, delivery timelines / quality goals are met, and emerging requirements identified.

  • Coordinates closely with the overall contract Program Manager / PM Office (PMO) to ensure issues are elevated quickly and performance metrics / reporting criteria are understood.

  • Acts as a “First-Level Supervisor” for site / regionally-assigned-employees.

  • As ‘Senior Systems Administrator’

  • Responsible for systems administration services following DISA Security Technical Implementation Guides and industry best practices to install, maintain, upgrade, and harden INSCOM’s infrastructure.

  • Responsible for the installation and configuration of new software and hardware, including the server network, devices and firewalls on JWICS, SIPRnet, and NIPRnet networks.

  • Responsible for monitoring system performance, IT system operations and storage utilization.

  • Advises government stakeholders on necessary hardware/software upgrades to keep pace with operational demands / requirements.

  • Manages user accounts and assets, and assigns and updates security permissions on the network according to INSCOM’s security policies.

  • Provides support with escalated help desk requests.

Required Qualifications

  • DoD IAT Level III Certifications in one of the following: CCNP or CCSP certification.

  • Associates Degree

  • At least three years of experience managing teams of at least 10 people.

  • 3-4 years of experience in Systems Administration, Network Administration, or Database Administration

  • TS/SCI Security Clearance

Candidates that do not meet the required qualifications will not be considered.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Strong leadership skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in technology-related field

  • 4-6 years of experience in Systems Administration, Network Administration, or Database Administration

  • Communication skills to effectively interface with military officials, managers, and subordinates.

Compensation

$91,207.00 - $145,930.00

The pay range for this job is determined by various factors, including but not necessarily limited to location, responsibilities of the job, and alignment with market data. When determining a salary for this role, the following factors may will be taken into consideration - contract-specific affordability, education, knowledge, skills, competencies and experience. The estimate displayed represents the salary range for this position and is just one component of Cognosante’s total compensation package for employees and is not necessarily reflective of actual compensation that may be earned, nor a promise of any specific pay for any specific employee.
