Trinity Health Nurse Practitioner - Cancer Genetics Clinic in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida

Description:

A member of Trinity Health, Holy Cross Hospital is a full-service, non-profit, Catholic, teaching hospital operating in the spirit of the Sisters of Mercy.

This is a FT position on day shift with benefits and is physically located at the Holy Cross Medical Group Cancer Genetics Center.

  • Assists physician with follow-up patient visits, intra-procedure, hospital consults and other duties within scope of practice.

  • According to established protocols, conducts clinical assessment of the patient's healthcare status and needs.

  • Provides patient care to facilitate expected patient outcomes.

  • Provides counseling and education to patients to enhance patient care.

  • Documents care provided to support the continuity of patient care and optimum patient outcomes.

  • Assists physician in caring for hematology and oncology patients.

  • Renders consistent professional care to patients in the hospital.

  • Demonstrates skills and knowledge necessary to assure assessment, treatment and care is appropriate to the age of the patients served. Care provided is appropriate for all patients including adults or geriatrics.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Graduation from an accredited school for a Registered Nurse Practitioner program.

  • Master's Degree in Nursing.

  • Minimum of 1 year post-licensure clinical nursing exp.
