Networks Analyst / System Administrator II

Location:Ft. Belvoir, VA

GCubed, Inc is seeking a qualifiedNetwork Analyst / System Administrator IIin theFt. Belvoir, VAarea to provide specialized technical assistance and expertise for mission specific systems.

Essential Functions of the Job

  • Organize and directs the configuration and operation of information management systems

  • Provide the day-to-day system administration to include system and resource optimization, and user assistance

  • Conduct capacity and performance analysis, and provide system configuration change and upgrade recommendations

  • Increase system administration efficiency and accuracy via the use of automated tools and scripts, develops system administrator procedures, and conducts system administrator training and skills assessment

  • Determine computer user needs; analyzes system capabilities and programming techniques and controls

  • Manage the daily activities of configuration and operation of systems and performs system capacity analysis and planning

  • Maintain servers, creates monitoring reports and logs, and ensure functionality of system links

  • Monitor systems for acceptable performance and user accessibility, establish back-ups, and monitor systems security

  • Perform multiple tasks concurrently and responds to emergency situation effectively

  • TNOC personnel provide Tier I customer service support to US ARMY INSCOM customers.

  • Actively monitor network and terminal operations to ensure connectivity and availability.

  • Monitor network data traffic patterns to minimize choke points.

  • Accountable for all aspects of Network requirements and manages the hands-on, day-to-day issues related to Networks.

  • Provide system administrator support for GET TDN2 AD environment.

  • Responsible for the hands-on, day-to-day issues related to user accounts and access to GET TDN2 AD and GET WAN.

  • Provide technical input into the design and configuration of the user facility infrastructure when requested by the government through formal and informal technical discussions.

  • Create and submit a variety of reports including End of Day Report, End of Week Report, Contractor Monthly Status Report, IPR and Program Review Minutes

    Required Qualifications

  • Minimum of an Active Top Secret Clearance / SCI CI Poly

  • Networking Fundamentals with 5 years supporting Network Operations and Microsoft Active Directory environments

  • A+-CE, or Network + CE, Security + CE, or SSCP, or CCNA-Security

    Preferred Qualifications

  • Working knowledge of VMWare

  • Working knowledge of Windows 2008/2012 servers Active Directory environment

  • Ability to prioritize and multitask

  • Deadline and detail-oriented

  • Strong troubleshooting and critical thinking skills

  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

  • Excellent communications skills

    Working Conditions

    Back End Days - THU, FRI, SAT, and every other Wednesday from 6AM - 6PM

    Back End Nights - THU, FRI, SAT, and every other Wednesday from 6PM - 6AM
