Description
The World Headquarters for the Dallas Cowboys, the Star is the most comprehensive NFL training facility in the country. In addition to serving as the home of the entire football operation and practice fields, The Ford Center at The Star also includes a multipurpose, 12,000 seat, indoor stadium that will provide facilities for use by the Dallas Cowboys, City of Frisco and Frisco ISD football and soccer games. The facility includes Cowboys Club: a workspace and membership club connecting work, leisure and culture for a select community of influencers, entrepreneurs, and business leaders with a passion for the Dallas Cowboys.
The Prep Cook is based out of The Star/Cowboys Club in Frisco, TX and reports to the Sous Chef.
Essential Job Functions
Follows assignments for opening and closing procedures and food preparation.
Prepare food items by complying with portion size, quality standards, departmental rules, policies and procedures.
Ensures that proper food temperatures are maintained.
Responsible for safety standards, neatness and sanitation of work areas.
Maintain cleanliness of kitchen including shelves, walls, floors and drains.
Participates as a team player with specific responsibilities as related to preparation, excellent service and delivery of product.
Maintain proper sanitation for all dining and cooking utensils and cookware.
Handles and cleans kitchen equipment carefully and safely to prevent damage or injury.
Adhere to company guidelines for appearance and uniform standards.

Required Qualifications:
Previous experience working in a kitchen, preferably in a fine dining or high-volume restaurant.
Must be able to work extended hours due to business requirements including late nights, weekends and holidays.
Genuine interest in food and cooking, with a desire to learn and grow in the culinary field.
Strong dedication to the job and a commitment to excellence.
Punctuality and reliability.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bilingual in Spanish

Ability to stand, sit, use of hands to handle, or feel, reach with hands and arms
Ability to lift and/ or move up to 25 pounds;
