Cummins Inc. Health and Safety Technician - Level I in Fridley, Minnesota

DESCRIPTION

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:

  • Enhancing Safety Compliance : By supporting the closure of gaps in compliance with local regulatory health and safety requirements, you’ll help ensure the site meets all necessary standards.

  • Promoting Safety Culture : Building an understanding of HSE culture and communicating effectively to create safety awareness will foster a safer work environment.

  • Emergency Preparedness : Gaining a basic understanding of Emergency Response processes will enable you to support the site in being prepared for any emergencies.

  • Incident Reporting and Investigation : Assisting in the reporting and investigation of work-related injuries, illnesses, incidents, or hazards will help in identifying root causes and preventing future occurrences.

  • Data Analysis for Safety Trends : Gathering data for the analysis of safety-related trends will provide insights that can be used to improve safety measures and reduce risks.

  • Supporting Health and Wellness Initiatives : By supporting health, safety, and wellness initiatives, you’ll contribute to the overall well-being of the workforce.

  • Maintaining Confidentiality and Records : Ensuring confidentiality and appropriate recordkeeping standards will protect sensitive information and comply with corporate data protection requirements.

  • Quality and Teamwork : Following standard work, process documentation, and quality procedures, while actively participating in team efforts to improve quality, safety, and processes, will enhance overall operational efficiency.

Education, Licenses, Certifications:

High school diploma or certificate of completion of secondary education or equivalent experience to the extent such experience meets applicable regulations.

A two-year University degree in Industrial Safety or related field preferred.

Experience:

Minimal or no work experience required.

QUALIFICATIONS

Additional Information:

Administrative Skills - Advanced skills in excel and data management. Excels in being organized and proficient in communication with other groups.

Familiar with Microsoft office products and being comfortable working at a computer entering in information for compliance and training needs.
