Career Opportunity
The Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily activities for shipping functions of all outgoing products to customers. This role is responsible for managing all aspects of shipping and transferring product and materials, verifying and recording information on incoming and outgoing shipments, and providing leadership to departmental shipping personnel. The Shipping Supervisor must take precautions to protect warehouse contents against loss and operate in accordance with established procedures, policies and food safety guidelines.
How you will impact Smurfit Westrock
Improve the overall morale of the Plant by inclusion and teamwork
Ensures materials are issued to appropriate jobs as required.
Plans and facilitates the taking of physical inventories and cycle counts as required.
Manages physical inventory and resolves discrepancies
Ensures that material and service receipts are performed timely and accurately.
Manages shipping processes to ensure timely and cost-effective procedures are being followed.
Monitors and approves the usage of approved carriers and shipping methods.
Negotiates rates with outside carriers.
Ensures that all employees are following SOPs, work instructions, and GMPs.
Provides supervision to others through motivation, direction, review, or feedback of assigned tasks.
Manages the selection, training, development, and appraisal of hourly personnel
What you need to succeed:
Minimum 3-5 years\u2019 shipping and receiving experience required in manufacturing and warehouse environments
Previous experience in a Shipping Department and Inventory Control
Must be proficient with Excel spreadsheets and data entry
Knowledge of AS400 system or KIWI is a plus
Must have knowledge of international shipping methods
Must understand large and small package delivery systems
Excellent organization skills and attention to detail required
Effective process management skills
Excellent verbal, written and communication skills
Must have the ability to quickly adapt, make critical decisions, and be a change leader.
College Degree strongly preferred; must have high school diploma or equivalent

Compensation Offered
Pay range: 65,625 - 109,375
Bonus Eligible: YES; Quarterly profit sharing
