The Salvation Army Maintenance Technician in Fresno, California
Description
OVERVIEW:
The Maintenance Technician reports to the Fresno Citadel Corps Officers/County Coordinators and assists in a variety of projects at Salvation Army facilities in Fresno County. They will assist in maintaining the overall cleanliness standards of Salvation Army facilities, including Fresno Citadel Corps, the Administration building, the Family Services building, the Gabelcrest Transitional Recovery facility, and the Clovis Corps.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Perform tasks associated with maintenance needs
Maintain excellent outer appearance appeal of the campus by removing sidewalk debris, washing windows, etc.
Assist with facility projects involving professional vendors, contractors, and co-workers
Report damages, and issues, and assist in coordinating repairs
Perform maintenance of all properties including plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, and building renovations
Assist staff in completing tasks and projects
Monitor janitorial, hygiene, and maintenance supplies
Maintain and safeguard all inventory, equipment, and tool
Drive for pick-up, deliveries, and hauling as assigned or as needed
Coordinate care for the fleet vehicles of The Salvation Army
Provide weekly cleaning/janitorial duties for all facilities
Be informed of, and maintain, the MSDS sheets as required by OSHA
Assist with setting up rooms for various meetings and activities
Adhere to company safety policies to create a safe environment for staff and participants
Other related duties as required
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
High School Diploma or Equivalent (required)
CA driver’s license (required)
SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Ability to work with a highly diverse population
Working knowledge of property and maintenance
EQUIPMENT USED:
Modern Office Equipment and Relevant Software
Relevant janitorial and maintenance equipment
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
