Tyler Houk (Practice Director) with Robert Half is seeking a Bookkeeper to join our team based in Fresno, California. The individual in this role will manage payroll processing, account reconciliation, and financial reporting, among other tasks. This role is integral to the smooth operation of our finance department and requires a highly organized individual with excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee and manage payroll processing and payroll taxes

• Handle accounts payable and verify the accuracy of department account coding

• Assist in general ledger account reconciliation and department budget reporting

• Stay up-to-date on accounting practices and standards to ensure accuracy and compliance

• Generate reports as needed for the business director

• Maintain organized filing systems for easy access to financial records

• Process online contributions, deposits, and COO contribution reports

• Assist in the preparation and processing of quarterly payroll tax reports and sales tax

• Assist in the preparation of W2’s and 1099’s

• Use various collaboration and productive tools such as Microsoft Office for data entry and record-keeping.

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years experience in a bookkeeping role

• Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Demonstrated knowledge and skills in bookkeeping

• Proficiency in Data Entry

• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel

• Experience with payroll procedures and systems

• Must possess excellent organizational skills

• Strong attention to detail

• Ability to multitask and prioritize work effectively

• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

• Strong problem-solving skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
