Job Title: Boiler Project Engineer

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain project schedules

• Designing and implementing boiler projects from conception to completion

• Create and manage design submittals, RFI’s, and change orders

• Work with the Quality Control manager to create, review, and edit required quality control documents

• Coordinating with various teams such as design, installation, and maintenance to ensure project goals are met

• Manage designers, subcontractors and vendors to ensure required design & installation information (is provided correctly and on time.

• Review subcontractor & engineering performance and provide feedback to the Project Manager.

• Coordinates purchase of necessary supplies, equipment and services from appropriate sources and maintains proper inventory control, maintenance and consumable supplies.

• Diagnosing and troubleshooting boiler systems to resolve technical issues

• Performing regular inspections and maintenance on boiler systems to ensure optimal performance

• Providing training and guidance to junior engineers and other staff

• Preparing budget estimates and maintaining cost controls for boiler projects

• Authority to review and approve design submittals to ensure compliance.

Job Specifications (incl. Education requirements, minimal experience, computer skills required, etc.)

• Engineering degree or equivalent experience.

• 2+ years’ working experience in Boilers parts and controls - boiler systems and their components

• Must have knowledge of submitting written proposals, scopes of work, scheduling and coordinating site contractors and other assigned personnel.

• Project management skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Proactive in problem solving and sense of urgency.

• Advanced MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint skills

• Professional Engineer (PE) certification is a plus

• Must possess valid driver’s license

Compensation Range: $70,000 - $90,000 per year
