Description

We are offering a long-term contract employment opportunity for an Accounting Clerk in Fresno, California. As an Accounting Clerk, you will be instrumental in handling a variety of tasks, including data entry, invoice matching, and assisting with both Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR).

Responsibilities:

• Efficiently and accurately process customer credit applications

• Maintain precise customer credit records

• Work closely with the Accounts Receivable team to manage cash receipt, aid in collection of overdue balances, and handle daily invoices/credit processing

• Aid the Accounts Payable team through A/P invoice matching & filing, and vendor invoices and disbursement filing

• Ensure accurate classification of accounting codes and expenditure codes for document codification

• Contribute to company-wide accounting tasks such as G/L account reconciliation, month-end closing, and other special projects

• Actively reconcile discrepancies by examining various sources of disagreement, recreating possible actions, and determining the impact on other accounts; prepare necessary correction documents

• Consistently broadcast financial information to journals and ledgers

• Compile statements and reports by gathering data from a variety of sources

Requirements

• Minimum of 1+ years of experience in a similar role.

• Proficient in Accounts Payable (AP) procedures.

• Skilled with Accounts Receivable (AR) operations.

• Ability to reconcile bank statements accurately.

• Demonstrated experience with computer data entry.
