Robert Half Sr Cost Accounting Consultant in Fremont, California

Description

We are in need of a Senior Cost Accounting Consultant to help support our client in Fremont, California. In this role, you will be responsible for refining financial and accounting processes, managing forecasts, and developing financial models to support strategic growth initiatives. This role offers an opportunity for a long-term contract engagement.

Responsibilities:

• Partner with General Manager and production managers to refine financial and accounting processes.

• Handle month-end and quarter-end close activities for the manufacturing group, including journal entries, reconciliations, and reporting.

• Manage bi-quarterly forecast process ensuring forecasts are reasonable and identifying potential risks or opportunities.

• Monitor and publish monthly QTD spending vs budget and communicate any foreseen risks and/or opportunities.

• Manage capital spending and fixed asset accounting, including capital investment, assets under construction, completed assets, and depreciation.

• Develop and utilize financial models to support strategic growth initiatives and influence business decisions.

• Perform analysis to identify opportunities for business growth and development.

• Respond to ad-hoc requests as needed, providing accurate and timely financial information.

• Use Data Mining Techniques to analyze financial data and make informed predictions.

• Utilize knowledge of Accounting Functions and Budget Processes to ensure financial accuracy and efficiency.

Requirements

• Proficiency in Accounting Functions is essential.

• Experience with Budget Processes is necessary.

• Must have a strong understanding of Expense Reporting.

• Proficiency in Finance is required.

• Experience in Analytics is necessary.

• Must have a strong understanding of Budgeting.

• Experience with Budgeting - Forecasting is essential.

• Expertise in Cost Accounting is crucial.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are required.

• Must have a strong ability to multitask and prioritize.

• Advanced problem-solving skills are necessary.

• Proficiency in MS Office Suite and accounting software is required.

• A bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field is required.

• Relevant professional certifications such as CPA or CMA are preferred.

• Must be able to adhere to strict confidentiality and data protection guidelines.

• Strong analytical and decision-making skills are required.

• Must be detail-oriented and have strong organizational skills.
