Meta Manager, NPI Operations in Fremont, California

Summary:

As Meta’s datacenter infrastructure grows rapidly in scope and scale the increased technical complexity and velocity of new product introductions requires exceptional organization and integration of activities across numerous internal and external teams and manufacturing sites.Meta’s Infrastructure organization is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Manager of New Product Introduction Program Management team, leading the team to navigate dynamic & ambiguous development environments, bring clarity and alignment on supply chain risk, identify critical path and blockers and manage risks to drive successful on-time and on-quality NPI delivery of Meta’s highest-priority AI, compute, storage & network hardware across our global data center footprint.This position will work closely with external manufacturing partners and Meta internal stakeholders including AI & Hardware Engineering, Technical Program Management, Manufacturing Operations, and all Supply Chain functions.The Manager of NPI Program Management team manages, oversees and guides a team of NPI Operations PMs, leading cutting edge technology in the AI/ML, Compute, Storage, rack, power, thermal/cooling and Network space supporting Meta’s Supply Chain for our global Data Center infrastructure enablement for multi-billion users scale. With the responsibility of performance, career development, growth and recruiting, the leader is responsible for leading his team to define, shape, and align all business and technical stakeholders around New Product Introductions within Meta’s Infrastructure organization.

Required Skills:

Manager, NPI Operations Responsibilities:

  1. Manage, oversee, and guide the Program Management team resources (full time employees, consultants, and contractors) with the responsibility of performance, career development, growth and recruiting.

  2. Work with XFN Hardware, software engineering business partners, Data center business stakeholders and external partners (suppliers, vendors, consultants), to implement NPIs with aggressive time to market goals, enabling the Meta infrastructure vision.

  3. Collaborate with leadership teams and establish a partnership to represent programs and NPI Supply Chain across the organization and partners.

  4. Establish, reinforce and operate robust and appropriate Program Management practices to ensure NPI programs are delivered through the NPI HW Product lifecycle, with efficient build, test and mfg technical readiness, executing using industry best practices in NPI Risk Mitigation and supply chain risk management. Core skills of PMs expanded including: Scope, timeline and project plan management - Resources models and estimates - Documentation management - Projects reporting, metrics and communication - Change management and leadership reviews.

  5. 10% domestic and international travel is required

Minimum Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor’s degree in a technical engineering discipline

  2. 10+ years of experience operating in a Supply Chain & Manufacturing environment.

  3. 3+ years of experience in direct people management.

  4. Proven demonstrated experience to adapt, take initiative and thrive in ambiguity, build cross functional relationships, manage individual / team / organization-level conflict, and resiliency, leadership & motivation.

  5. Comprehensive E2E Supply Chain & NPI business processes knowledge (Plan, Source, Make/Deliver, Deploy) and related support functions (Master Data Management, Product Lifecycle Management, Engineering and Quality) in a high-tech environment.

  6. Knowledge and experience working with XFN Engineering, TPM, Data Center and ODM partners teams across the Supply Chain functions

  7. Experience leading cross-functional mission strategies to improve New Product Introduction Processes & TTM.

  8. Problem solving and exec communication experience.

Public Compensation:

$157,000/year to $218,000/year + bonus + equity + benefits
